FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
ELITE ALL-STAR competition squads are ages 4-13. Practice is once to twice a week and attendance is 100% mandatory. Student must be currently involved in one of MADE's classes and/or willing to join BOTH cheer and dance competition teams and/or recreation teams in order to take on the competition team.
There are 5 teams competing in several divisions:
Tiny (All-Star) 4-6 years old
Mini (All-Star) 6-9 years old
Youth Level 1 (All-Star) 7-13 years old
Mini Dance Team
Youth Dance Team
What are the additional fees?
-$40 Registration/Music fee along with you regular class fee ($75 monthly- Tiny and Mini Teams; $100 Youth and dance teams. Due first practice of each month. $10 Late fee applies.
How often are competitions?
-Approximately 1-2 per month. From October through May.
Does my child have to tumble?
-Tumbling is apart of their practices. They can have zero to advance tumbling skills. Summer clinics and privates lessons are provided for those who need special attention to tumble.
How far are competitions?
-They range from Charlotte, Raleigh, Winston-Salem to Atlanta.
Depends on schedule.
We do local and away competitions.
What if my child decides to withdrawal?
-All fees are non-refundable under any circumstance. However your child is more than welcome to transfer to any of our MADE recreational teams.
How do I receive extra lessons/instructions/tumbling classes for my child or if my child has to miss practice?
-You would need to set up private lessons with instructor at $15 for every 30 minutes. For absences, they must be made up prior to the next practice or your child is subject to dismissal.
What do they wear to practice?
-Practice attire is $40 which includes 1 t-shirt and shorts (for cheer) and 1 dance leotard (for dance). They must always wear their sneakers and bring their dance shoes (if applicable). They can also wear any other MADE attire from previous years. No jewelry is permitted at any practice or performance.
When does the season start and finish?
-There is no start and finish dates.
We are ongoing throughout the year.
We take June off for both Cheer and Dance.
During the month of June there is tumbling classes for those who want to advance once a week at $35/month every Monday or Tuesday from 6:00pm-7:15pm at Rays Splash Planet Uptown Charlotte. July we begin our training and development (once a week).
August we begin practice twice a week.
We go from August to May heavily.
How much is apparel?
-Tiny, mini and youth uniforms are $200. Includes: cheer uniform, embroidery, socks and hair bow (6-8 week arrival). Shoes are separate at approximately $50-65; Warm-ups are $135 (4-6 week arrival); $25 Cheer Bag; $25 Poms (optional); $25 Make-up. All are other items are required. If your child needs an adult large or above it will be $10 additional for warm-up and/or uniform.
